It is Dr. Hunter’s most humble pleasure to welcome you to One Vision. One Vision is a place where ordinary people are free to worship God in Spirit and in Truth without economic, educational, social, or political confrontation.
It is a joy for Him to come to this awesome place of worship, to lead by serving, and to see the wonderful healing power of God’s hand in the lives of Christians in the areas of finance, relationships, and most importantly their personal spiritual growth. It is Dr. Hunter’s passion to serve a church that will look like Heaven.
Therefore, Dr. Hunter is utterly committed to following God’s call in establishing a multicultural church that is centered on the teachings and principles of Jesus Christ.
Dr. Hunter is a native of Northwest Indiana and the great Trinity Baptist Church. He is blessed of God to have been given the hand of his best friend and life partner the Mrs. Jamila F. Holcomb-Hunter his high school and college sweetheart to marry.
Following God’s call on Pastor and Mrs. Hunter’s lives, Pastor Hunter enrolled at The University of Southern Indiana where he would receive a B.S. degree in Elementary Education.
In God’s Divine order, it would be at the University of Southern Indiana that Dr. Hunter would receive and accept his calling into the Gospel Ministry.
Following his tenure at the University of Southern Indiana, Dr. Hunter enrolled at Indiana Wesleyan University where he would be called upon to complete a Master of Education degree. Following Indiana Wesleyan University, Dr. Hunter would complete a Doctorate of Education degree from Nova Southeastern University in June of 2004.
Pastor Hunter is a deeply devoted individual with a special calling to assist the “least among us”.
Dr. Hunter is the founding pastor of One Vision and has seen God’s wonderful hand inspire, lead, and grow One Vision from such humble beginnings.
Under Dr. Hunter’s leadership and his obedience to Christ, One Vision’s ministerial staff has grown, the church has acquired a new building, grown
multi-culturally, spiritually, established nursing home, prison, singles, food bank, and children’s ministries in order to advance the Kingdom of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Dr. and First Lady Hunter are the proud parents of four children: J. Howard, Jr., Iyanla, Isaiah,
and Jonathan. |
