One Vision’s Mission is to become thoroughly committed to building God’s Kingdom by reaching one home, one soul, one person at a time through:

History

Our first semi-permanent home was in a small store-front building located at 3308 E. 10th Street. God would soon bless the One Vision family with its first permanent home with land to build at 7108 Coffman Road, Indianapolis, Indiana. 

The church was constituted in 2000, and became the first multi-ethnic church in Indiana affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. The church was organized with 5 charter members. Our present church property was acquired in May, 2004.

One Visions Purpose

One Vision's Mission Statement 

It is our mission to continuously strive to build God's Kingdom through a common vision of faith, worship, growth, love, giving, serving and sharing.  For that reason, our mission as a church of the living God, is to teach and train the believer the importance of witnessing to others concerning Jesus, that the body of Christ might be edified through our efforts to spread the gospel at home, in the community, and abroad; until we all are able to come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God. 

Seven-fold Purpose for Which We Strive

• Faith

  • Trusting in Jesus Christ alone for eternal salvation from sin and death Acts 4:12

• Worship

  • Promoting the Scriptural and Spirit-led worship of God the Father and Jesus the Son.  John 4:32-24, 16:12-15

• Growth

  • Stimulating daily dependence on God for life and ministry through prayer and the Scriptures.  Mark 9:29, I Thessalonians 5:17, I Peter 4:7-11

• Love

  • Stimulating Christ-like love through fellowship, accountability and care for others.  John 13:12, Acts 2:42-47, I Corinthians 13, I Peter 4:7-11

• Giving

  • Maintaining a sound financial condition in obedience to Gods Word.  Luke 16:8-13, I Corinthians 4:1-2, II Corinthians 9:12-15

• Serving 

  • Equipping and involving Christians in ministry.  Ephesians 4:11-16

• Sharing

  • Fulfilling the Great Commission with emphasis on evangelism.  Matthew 28:18-20

  • Being a good citizen of our community with emphasis on meeting spiritual needs.  Romans 13:1-14
