Rev. Dr. Justin H. Hunter, Sr., Ed.S., Ed.D.
Senior Pastor
Rev. Dr. Justin H. Hunter, Sr. is the founding pastor of One Vision in Christ Community Baptist Church. Dr. Hunter has seen God's wonderful hand inspire, lead, and grow
One Vision from such humble beginnings.
Dr. Hunter attended Trinity Missionary Baptist Church and was licensed to the Gospel Ministry on September 6, 1996.
To better prepare himself for Kingdom work, he attended the University of Southern Indiana receiving a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, Indiana Wesleyan University receiving a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Specialist Degree (Ed.S,). Moreover, Pastor Hunter later attended Nova Southeastern University where he received a Doctor of Education in Curriculum, Instruction, and Systemic Analysis. Currently, Pastor Hunter is attending The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky pursuing his second doctorate degree in Higher Education Leadership with a concentration in Apologetics.
Since pastoring One Vision in Christ, Dr. Hunter has led the church in building and land acquisitions, which includes the 2022 addition of The Vision Center.
Over the years, Pastor Hunter has engaged in evangelism outreach ministries, soul-winning campaigns, prison ministries, multi-housing ministries, missions, and educational and academic professional development to support and uplift the body of Christ.
Dr. Hunter currently serves as Moderator of Capital City Fellowship Missionary Baptist Association and as an Indiana educator. Dr. Hunter is currently in his 27th year of pastoring. ​
Pastor Dr. Justin and First Lady Jamila Hunter are the proud parents of four children:
J. Howard, Jr, Iyanla, Isaiah, and Jonathan.

Rev. Timothy Childress, M.Div.
Associate Pastor
Pastor Tim Childress has served as the associate pastor at One Vision in Christ Community Church since 2005.
The previous year, One Vision and Pike Baptist merged their flocks as Pastor Childress prepared to serve his country.
Pastor Childress has made it his life’s work to lead and teach the gospel to all who are ready to receive the word of God. He currently serves as a chaplain at Methodist Hospital and Hancock Regional Hospital.
In addition, he has served at Lighthouse Rescue Mission, Indiana Department of Corrections as chaplain and KLOVE pastor respectively.
Pastor Childress earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Indiana University and a Master of Divinity degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is currently completing his coursework pursuing a Doctorate in Ministry from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with a focus on Christian Apologetics.
As a retired lieutenant colonel from the Indiana National Guard, he honorably served 29 years in the chaplain Corp with deployments to the Middle East including Afghanistan, Kuwait and Jordan.
Pastor time has been married to his college sweetheart, Janice for 29 years. They are the proud parents of three adult children, Stephen, Sarah and Hannah.
